Has anyone's cat ever had to have surgery to remove an eye? I ask because my boy Apollo's damaged eye seems to be more swollen than it used to be and I am just wondering. I already have an appointment for him to get a check up when my next paycheck comes in but for now I'm just searching for a price estimate. ( Paulo Boy ) |

I stayed up late tonight...
and I'm glad I did! Look what I caught on film!!! Donut & Cool Whip groom eachother (mostly Cool Whip grooming Donut, while Q-Tip lays on the floor in the background)!!!! I had to keep a good distance away...if they saw me getting closer they'd most definitely stop the cuteness. I gradually inched forward but when I got too close they caught on and ended the cleaning fest. It was cute while it lasted :) |

Dear Nyx, Please please please come home, Mummy is dreadfully worried about you, you're a silly silly cat with the sense of a bag of wet cement, it's dangerous out there, please come home. *She bolted out the back door when I went to the loo at 3am and dissapeared into the night, usually she comes back within an hour, jumping in the through the open window of my daughters room, but not today, we've looked around the neighbourhood and under all the trees and things. Hey baby girl, thank you so much for consoling me last night. Mommy has been having a real hard time just coping with life in general lately, and you dancing and purring around my ankles and letting me cry on you last night was very comforting. you're usually not a very lovey girl, but thank you for being understanding. And about what chris did to you. That was not acceptable and it never will be. Daddy yelled at him, and im going to talk to daddy about kicking chris out since he cant be nice to my little girl.  This picture was taken around Halloween (2009) right after we found out what was causing Moe's weight loss. Seriously. This is small for my cat. (She had ear mites, but also had an allergy to the ear mite medicine and wasn't getting better. Once her vet changed the medicine, there was almost a 100% improvement!) |

Dearest Sparta, You are honestly the weirdest cat I've ever known. I love you dearly, but what kind of kitten LOVES the snow (especially neck deep snow) and water? Never in a million years would I have bought a jacket for any animal, but clearly you need one since you feel the need to help shovel and build snowmen and get VERY upset when we're outside without you. I do love though that you're a doll when you get a bath, it makes my life easier (sometimes kittens can get quite muddy when going outside) Also, why do you like odd human foods like lettuce and beets? Seriously, are you really a kitten? And one more thing, what happened to that itty bitty kitty that use to fit in my hand? Seriously, you're a monster now in size...and you still keep growing! Dear Korey (the name you picked yourself) Can you read this? you're staring at the screen right now. Thank you for being the perfect loving kitty. After being turned away from the shelter yesterday for something that happened 7 years ago. (giving up my cat because I had to go to a group home) and being told I couldn't adopt from there again, I was really upset yesterday, thanks for being where you were when you were. You are a bundle of playful joy, I love you. Thank you for not waking me up too early this morning and thank you for sleeping next to me all night last night. It is much appreciated. We just have to work on stopping your climbing the table when Mommy is eating. And please, for you own good... Let ME trim you nails!!! You are a really BIG BOY, your open hand is almost the size of my palm!! When you are kneading on MY chest and tummy, it hurts, boy....
And then... what happens you get angry at me because I tried to put you more comfortable on my lap because you were falling? *angry* Is not funny at all.
At least if you let me trim your nails a little... It never hurts you, only you get angry because it happens to be when you decide you want to be petted... If you let me do it when you are lazy or sleeping... it never hurts, ask your brother and sisters. Even Benito let me trim his nails!! And he is part-stray!! You let me handle your paws, but not nail trimmer included... You are worst with your nails than Amini...
Pancho, I really really REALLY love you and your brother and sisters, but please... Try to be a little more sociable, let me pet you, sleep and cuddle with us, don't be alone downstairs, but... overall, please de NOT knead when you are horny! You are neutered!! Please!

Dear Olive, I hope you're loving the new laser pointer we just bought for you tonight! We thought it was a wise investment for your entertainment and ours. On a not-so-fun note, Mommy and Daddy are probably going to have to bring you to the vet sometime soon. Your teeth (or what's left of them) need to be looked at again and it'd be good for you to get a general check up as well. I know you hate the car, and I know you hate the mean veterinary lady...but the last time we went, you were much more well-behaved and seemed to remember that she made your toofs and gums feel better! And remember when she gave you those kitty opiates to soothe your gums? You were flying the magic carpet! We love you and your gummy smiles :-) xoxo |
